The same kinds of anti-discrimnation and even affirmative action measures are needed to counter-weight and upset the status quo. It needs to "hurt" the privileged castes to continue to oppress the lower and out castes. This movement will need to be led by high caste ... brahmins ... similar to how white people needed to lead and give their power over to African Americans. Totally ignore the caste system in identifying a person (and use economic wherewithal & need)<br/>2. Identify people by their caste and figure out which group to help most<br/><br/>Each option has its pitfalls...and the chosen one definitely has institutionalized the caste system beyond compare!<br/><br/>Wonder when there will be another opportunity for the country to redefine identity of its people (not as easy as changing ActiveDirectory schema, is it?
